MSA has an opportunity for an Engineering Technician II - Civil at our St. Paul, MN office. This position will allow you to work primarily in the field doing construction management, survey, and staking on a variety of engineering projects.   If you enjoy being out in the field, this is the position for you!

Responsibilities

The work you will do

• Working independently while completing field surveying
• Construction site project inspection and construction staking
• Project plan & specifications interpretation
• Communicate with clients and engineering staff on the progress of the project
• Provide record drawings of the projects
• Document research at county offices
• Assist with design plans utilizing Civil 3D software
• Drafting

Qualifications

What you bring
Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

• Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering technology, Bachelor’s degree Civil Engineering or related degree required
• 2+ years of related experience required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Willingness and ability to travel for projects including overnight
• Desire to work in the field 
• Strong communication skills
• This position requires you to have work authorization in the US. We do not provide sponsorships.
