    We are searching for a highly motivated Land Surveying Technician to join our Civil/Survey Team. The goal of this position is to work closely with team members and Project Managers to utilize or learn technical expertise on a variety of different projects throughout the Midwest. This position may be based remotely or out of our Sauk City, WI or Madison, WI offices. All offers of employment are contingent on: pre-employment background check, drug screen, and employment & education verification.

    In this role, you will:

    • Address multiple concurrent survey projects for successful scope, field work data processing, documentation, schedule, and budget delivery
    • Perform survey office work to develop the following or similar documents: ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey; Boundary Survey; Topographic Survey; Condominium Plat; Land Development Plat; Plat of Survey and Certified Survey Map using AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • If warranted, assist field crews performing control surveys, property surveys, as-built, existing condition and topographic surveys, and construction staking services
    • Work closely with senior level team members responsible for survey project quality control and conformance with company standards
    • Communicate effectively with project team and clients to address project needs and technical expectations

    Position Qualifications:

    • Associate's or technical degree in Civil Technology or similar field
    • Computer skills required: Microsoft Word & Excel, familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Access Surveying Software, and Bluebeam Revu.
    • Desire to learn survey equipment operation and maintenance skills
    • Travel opportunities to client locations and project sites mostly in Wisconsin, occasionally throughout the Midwest may be available.
    • If assisting field crews, driving to/from job sites regularly will be required. Some extended travel including overnight stays is anticipated generally not to exceed one week per month.
    • If assisting field crews, capability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, complete hand excavations and set corners/stakes with a large hammer
    • This position may present the opportunity for working outdoors year-round. Exposure to outdoor weather and challenging site conditions should be expected
    • Deliver enthusiasm to learn and demonstrate abilities to go above and beyond for exceptional collaboration with clients and team members
